EXHALE is a collection of writing from wahine in Aotearoa – women whose words offer the world an escape, a breath of motivation, a thoughtful questioning of our priorities.
We’re looking for your powerful stories of
love, hope, despair, courage
- stories that invoke a journey of growth, of letting go, of moving beyond the unbearable into somewhere new.
We want stories from women in Aotearoa on any relevant topics that women can relate to: mothering, love, relationships, parenting, juggling, balance (or lack thereof!), health, whanau, food, connection, friends, travel.

…wahine have voices that need to be heard
We started with Inhale - a collection of writing from wahine Māori – women whose words offer the world an escape, a breath of motivation, a thoughtful questioning of our priorities.
We followed that up with PAUSE - that moment between breath, the time we can take to rest, the brief intersections in the chaos of our busy lives.
Now we’re building Exhale - the letting go, the out, the release. Join us in our next anthology!
All New Zealand women are invited to contribute.
Submissions should be recieved before the end of October 2025
We envisage the launch of this pukapuka in early 2026.
